Julia Takeda, an MBA and busy working parent, conceived of Fly Louie in 2017, inspired by a lengthy 1-800 call with a commercial airline which had yet again canceled her husband’s flight. No company, she realized, offered the speed and convenience of private air, at prices accessible to commercial travelers.
Louie’s namesake, Julia’s Great Uncle Lou, immigrated to the United States from Europe in 1919. He built a business in South Dakota, eventually helping the rest of his family travel safely to a country that would welcome them and foster their spirit for entrepreneurship and adventure. 97 years later, Julia’s son Louie was born.
Fly Louie brings Uncle Lou’s optimism and industry to contemporary travel. We use analytics to identify popular but under-served routes, passing on the savings to you. And we skip the empty luxuries typical of private flight in favor of simple good service.
